Client Complaint and Grievance Rights

Healthy Start providers give the following written information to Healthy Start clients: how to address a problem or concern related to Healthy Start services. If the client wants to file a complaint, it will be reviewed by the Healthy Start Executive Director. A review occurs on the same day it is received or the next day if it is after 4pm. If a mutual resolution cannot be reached between the client and the Executive Director, the client has the right to report the issue directly to one of the following:

  • Florida Department of Health (FDOH)
  • Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA)
  • Healthy Start Coalition Customer Service: 863-534-9224
